(IMPORTANT)Notes on using T-Engine Frame-buffer direct access version, ITRON version, ZAURUS version, Embedded Linux version, Linux/DirectFB version

In order to use WideStudio T-Engine Frame-buffer direct access version, ITRON version, ZAURUS version, mu-CLinux version, Embedded Linux version(wo/X11 server), fonts settings should be done by wsfonts file. Currently pcf and bdf fonts are available.

wsfonts settings on T-Engine Frame-buffer direct access version:
  • Location of wsfonts file: /SYS/wsfonts
  • When using pcf fonts
/SYS/7x14.pcf
/SYS/k14.pcf

Contents of wsfonts:
default,PCF,/SYS/7x14.pcf,ISO8859_1,/SYS/k14.pcf,JIS0208

wsfonts settings of ITRON version, ZAURUS version, mu-CLinux version, Embedded Linux version (/dev/fb), Linux/DirectFB version:
  • Location of wsfonts file: /etc/wsfonts
  • When using pcf fonts (assuming the fonts are under /usr/font)
/usr/font/7x14.pcf
/usr/font/k14.pcf

Contents of wsfonts:
default,PCF,/usr/font/7x14.pcf,ISO8859_1,/usr/font/k14.pcf,JIS0208



(IMPORTANT)Notes on building WideStudio on ZAURUS Version, mu-CLinux (FR PDK)Version, Linux(FR461)Version

Building WideStudio of ZAURUS, mu-CLinux(FR-V PDK) version requires additional libraries such as PNG, JPG etc. Please extract binaries prepared below under /usr/local after installing the development environment on each platform.


Building WideStudio of Linux(FR461) version requires additional libraries such as PNG, JPG etc. Please extract binaries prepared below under /opt after installing the development environment on each platform.

(IMPORTANT)Notes on using T-Engine Frame-buffer direct access version

WideStudio does not support a color map at the moment. This means an application built using  T-Engine Frame-buffer direct access version cannot run with 8bit color mode. Please use 16bit or more color mode.

If a hardware only supports T-Engine ARM920/MX1 256 color mode only, please use T-Shell for applications.
